Many people make resolutions in January, and homeschool families can do the same. Resolutions give both parents and students something to aim for in the months ahead.

Examples might include:

  • Reading together as a family every day.
  • Taking more learning outside with nature walks.
  • Adding more hands-on projects to science or history lessons.
  • Being more consistent with record-keeping and planning.
  • Encouraging students to set personal learning goals, like writing more often or finishing a book series.

Homeschool resolutions don’t have to be big. Even small changes can make a big difference in creating a year that is focused, balanced, and rewarding.
