Redeemed Home School Co-op (RHSC)
From its inception the purpose of this co-op has been to provide a loving, educational, and safe Christian environment for the families involved and to enhance, not to replace the children?s home education by providing courses that will help each family supply a well rounded education for their children. Courses for the coming year fall in the following categories: Pre-K & K ? Phonics (Spell to Write and Read), Science, History/Art, Phys. Ed. and Building Thinking Skills; grades 1-6 - Latin, Pre-logic (BTS), Apologia Science, Phys. Ed., and Mystery of History/Art; Jr. High ? Latin, Informal Logic, Apologia Physical Science, Grammar/Writing (Learn to Write the Novel Way), Mystery of History/Fundamentals of Public Speaking, and Phys. Ed.; High School ? Latin, English Composition I, Logic I & II, Phys. Ed., US History and American Government. To be able to maximize each child?s potential, the children will be divided into five groups: Nursery, Ages 4-5, Ages 6-9, Ages 10-14, and Ages 14 and up. While our families represent different educational persuasions and styles, a Classical and Biblical approach to education will be followed (for more information on Classical Christian Education, please read the book ?Teaching the Trivium,? by Harvey and Laurie Bluedorn). An important objective in forming this co-op is to lighten the load of the parents when we join together to use our God-given gifts and talents to serve one another.City: Sussex
